What path are you on? Is my faith so much like Jeremiah’s, only able to function when the going is good? There is only ONE we can put our trust in today, that one is JESUS. I’m going to compound on yesterday’s post.
Jeremiah 12:1-6 – You are always righteous, Lord,
when I bring a case before you.
Yet I would speak with you about your justice:
Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why do all the faithless live at ease?
2 You have planted them, and they have taken root;
they grow and bear fruit.
You are always on their lips
but far from their hearts.
3 Yet you know me, Lord;
you see me and test my thoughts about you.
Drag them off like sheep to be butchered!
Set them apart for the day of slaughter!
4 How long will the land lie parched
and the grass in every field be withered?
Because those who live in it are wicked,
the animals and birds have perished.
Moreover, the people are saying,
“He will not see what happens to us.”
Then God Answers:
5 “If you have raced with men on foot
and they have worn you out,
how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble in safe country,
how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?
6 Your relatives, members of your own family—
even they have betrayed you;
they have raised a loud cry against you.
Do not trust them,
though they speak well of you.
If I can’t handle this path, how can I trod on the difficult ones? How am I going to cope when life gets REALLY tough? I am in a safe place today. Allowing the faith (or lack thereof) of others rule the way I see myself is a MAJOR bump in the road. Taking on the insecurities, problems, and fear of others is a stumbling block. It all stems from PRIDE. I become my own worst enemy and everyone else is then just a pawn in my game of life. We don’t get what WE truly deserve, so why do we expect others to get what they deserve? Who do we really trust? When those you know and love are running around, saying one thing with their mouth and something completely different by their actions, what are YOU going to do? Throw your hands up in the air and walk away and use it as an excuse to act silly, or BE CHANGE and MAKE A NEW CHOICE?

To further your reading, consider this from:
Matthew 7:6 (AMP) – Do not give that which is holy (the sacred thing) to the dogs, and do not throw your pearls before hogs, lest they trample upon them with their feet and turn and tear you in pieces.
Who do I trust, who do I give my whole heart to, who do I cast my beautiful pearls to? Am I giving away the things in my life to God or am I giving myself away to people who are using it against me for their own benefit? Who do YOU trust? Whose report do YOU believe? Whose are you knocking on to get answers you desire? Is someone trampling on your life, or is God setting you free?
