First, let me thank each of you for doing this study with me. There were days when I couldn’t breathe, I lost focus, I left you standing alone, but you are still here because of your faith in God, not in me. I am forever grateful to each of you for your encouragement, for your faithfulness to see this to the end, for your willingness to get closer to knowing Jesus in a more intimate way. You are not the same as you were at the beginning, and neither am I, and where two or more are gathered, He is in our midst. God bless you all and pass it along, the revelation knowledge that you have gained in understanding His Word and His ways. Give back to the world. YOU MATTER!

end3Revelation 3:8 – I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

This past year has truly been a test, a laboratory of sorts. One thing after another has come against me, yet I still walk toward my purpose even when I am weak. So many days I have longed to stay in bed and sleep until the cows come home. So many days I have refused to put pen to paper, yet I did it anyway. So many times I have wanted to give up, throw my hands in the air and hide in a corner, but I didn’t.

endMy assumption is that I can go anywhere and do anything with my unseen Creator as my guide. People of science and atheism who say there is no proof of God have their own hypothesis. Well, I also have mine. A hypothesis is a tentative assumption made in order to draw out and test its logical consequences, an interpretation of a practical situation or condition taken as the ground for action. I have always had a scientific mind, one that requires proof. So where is that proof? In the Word of course.

God isn’t some big man in the sky checking off a naughty or nice list. He is so close, and of course He knows my every move. If He knows my every move, then He also knows the struggles I face, the thoughts that race, what happens before, during, and after I awake. He knows the fear, the triumphs, the mountains, and the valleys. He knows the exhaustion, the love, the discord, and the doubt. HE KNOWS ME. God created me before time and knew my purpose.

end2Psalm 139:1-24 – You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. 2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. 5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. 13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. 19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away from me, you who are bloodthirsty! 20 They speak of you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your name. 21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you? 22 I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

end4What am I to do with this proof that comes from the Word of God, this assumption that I can make which has been tested for generations? It’s grounds for action. What actions are required for me to walk through the open door? What is on the other side? Does it really matter as long as it is in His will? All I have to do, even in my weakness, is WALK, because He sees, and He knows. As Pastor Charlie always says, “The end of something is always the beginning of something else.”

Revelation 21:6 – He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life.

Happy New Year!!

Revelation 22:20-21 – He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.
