We ALL at SOME POINT reflect on the past. We look to our failures, broken dreams, broken institutions, missed opportunities, and emptiness which is man’s perspective. Some of us look upon the past with hope, adoration, acceptance, gratitude, and love of the memories from God’s perspective. Who is always with us…times of failure, and times of success? JESUS! God has a purpose for both our ups and our downs.
Isaiah 38:15-20 – But what can I say?
He has spoken to me, and he himself has done this.
I will walk humbly all my years
because of this anguish of my soul.
16 Lord, by such things people live;
and my spirit finds life in them too.
You restored me to health
and let me live.
17 Surely it was for my benefit
that I suffered such anguish.
In your love you kept me
from the pit of destruction;
you have put all my sins
behind your back.
18 For the grave cannot praise you,
death cannot sing your praise;
those who go down to the pit
cannot hope for your faithfulness.
19 The living, the living—they praise you,
as I am doing today;
parents tell their children
about your faithfulness.
PRAYER brings perspective, deliverance, and forgiveness of our past. Is your past making you bitter? Or are you able to see the blessings? There is NOTHING we go through that is too hard for God. There is nothing that we suffer from without a heavenly solution. There is no benefit to the perspective of man when we are bitter, only the blessedness of Christ when we can see the bigger picture. Stop looking that at your life with dark tinted glasses and see things from a new and improved view! There are young people who are coming into their own who are looking to us for answers and we are wallowing away in doubt and self-pity. Are you passing along joy, or anger? Bitterness or hope? Hate or forgiveness? Depression or excitement? BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE IN THE WORLD!

you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
The Sea of Unforgetfulness! What an awesome sight to ponder upon! A sea filled with the past sins of our lives. God does not stay angry forever and is so glad when we come to repentance and finally see ourselves, not as what we once were, but as He sees us!
