Psalm 89:34 – I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.

word3We are called to spread the Word of God and live our lives for Christ. We may share a message of hope and healing, but not everyone will receive it. The one’s who reject us are not really rejecting us, they are rejecting Jesus and the message, but that should not dissuade us from sharing anyway. We cannot always see the fruits of our labor right off the bat, but be should be rest assured that the seed was planted and will begin to grow as the Scriptures reveal.

God made a promise to David and to his line, that they would forever sit on the throne. Israel disobeyed God time and again, but God never lost sight of the promise. He is not man that He should lie, so why do we have trouble believing that He can do what He says He can do? This promise isn’t only for David. It is for the woman who can’t pay her bills because she is raising 3 children alone, it is for the addict who sees no way out of their situation that seems forever hopeless, it is for the parents of a wayward child who has lost their way and their prayers seem to hit the ceiling, it is for the lost, the rejected, the angry. word2Even in all their disobedience, God never broke faith with them because a remnant remained faithful to HIM. WE ARE THE REMNANT which gives hope to the hopeless. Everything that God promises, He fulfills. What are you waiting for? What promise has He given you? Can’t you see that David in his life never even saw Jesus Christ come to the earth to be King on the throne FOREVER? Sometimes, we can’t see the seed planted, we can’t see the harvest, we lose sight of the promise, but it is THERE for the taking! BELIEVE!

To further your reading, consider this from:

Isaiah 55:11 – so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

My destiny was written before I was born and it’s up to me to make the right choices to live it out. His Word and His plan for my life will not return void as long as I do what He asks of me.
