I am beginning to feel as if I am a new creation, a completely new Julie walking the face of the earth, gratitude pouring from every pore and so much hope on the horizon that it takes my breath away. I am somehow able this morning to look past the circumstances that threaten my very purpose and existence and base my joy completely on God’s presence within me.
Psalm 16:5-11 – Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful[a] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
I realized over the weekend that the enemy is out to get me. The struggle is very real and even though mis-truths that I conjur up in my own thinking dare to take me out, I know in my heart that God can and will rescue me and bring me back into His presence. It isn’t always easy living right and the thorns in my flesh seem to penetrate to the depths of my soul, but I am doing it afraid anyway. I stood in awe of the transforming power of God over this past weekend and the small window in which I was able to look through to see what is in store is absolutely amazing! I can create environments for myself in my own doing and due to the lonliness that creeps up to the table of life I find myself lacking in many areas, but God is restoring me through all of the adversity to a new and improved version of myself daily. It can only get better from here!

Matthew 7:13-14 – “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
There is only ONE way to peace, love, joy, happiness, and success in life and that way is JESUS! So many of us have so many choice to make daily, so put Christ in the center of every decision and be guided by the Holy Spirit and everything will work out for the good! Don’t find yourself taking the easy way and following the crowd.
