I’m angry this morning. At the enemy. I’m completely rendered helpless against things that I sometimes hear come from mouths of godly people as they listen more intently to the lies of the enemy’s mouth meant to dissuade them and others from true purpose. All it does is create worry, chaos, and confusion. I have no choice but to trust God’s goodness even when I don’t understand. Faith compels me to hang on even when I don’t know what’s going on. Regardless of what others say, I have to pay attention to the promises God has already instilled in me.

lies8Job 33:24-28 – and he is gracious to that person and says to God,
‘Spare them from going down to the pit;
I have found a ransom for them—
25 let their flesh be renewed like a child’s;
let them be restored as in the days of their youth’—
26 then that person can pray to God and find favor with him,
they will see God’s face and shout for joy;
he will restore them to full well-being.
27 And they will go to others and say,
‘I have sinned, I have perverted what is right,
but I did not get what I deserved.
28 God has delivered me from going down to the pit,
and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’

lies10I messed up many times; however, it is what I DID. It is NOT who I am! I have to put aside the fear, the doubt, and the worry and claim LIFE and happiness for myself and others. I recognize the enemy at work and it only solidifies my walk with Christ. We are set apart and called to be different and we are exactly where God wants us to be.

Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Why worry, why doubt, why all the discouragement that seeps forth like from a swollen river of insecurity? As my friend Peggy says almost daily… “PRAYER is the answer!”
