How many times do we feel as if our prayers are hitting the ceiling, the world is crashing all around us, our ship is lost at sea, and God is silent in the middle of our pain? I know that is normal for me. Something someone once told me, “In school, during the studies, the teacher is there to offer guidance, lend support, and answer any questions. But where is the teacher during the TEST? The Teacher is silent and observant always during the test.” Those words couldn’t be more true for the way we feel when we are going through the biggest tests of our lives and we NEED ANSWERS right now from the Lord!
Job 13:15 – Though he slay me, yet I will hope in him.
Even when the waters are rough, our boat ready to capsize at any moment. Even when the test hurts so bad and we can hardly wrap our brains around the circumstances that surround us. Even when all seems lost and there is no light at the end of the tunnel, we WILL STILL HOPE IN HIM! We should not start to question where the sin is, place blame on anyone around us for our troubles in order to make sense of the senseless, but we should understand that the thorn in our flesh is sometimes but there to teach us about suffering so we can in turn help others along our journey. Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, but He sometimes allows us to go through the pain in the process to understand more clearly what He is trying to teach us! No matter the questions that surround our circumstances, God is bigger than the problem at hand!

To further your reading, and to dive a bit deeper, consider this from:
2 Corinthian 12:9 – But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore we will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
God’s power is displayed in weak people, if only they can stop complaining and start seeing the bigger picture! Weaknesses develop our character so boast in the power of the Lord and remember that the same power that rose Jesus is the SAME power in us! We are overcomers by the blood of the Lamb!
