Oh, the days seem to draw closer together and fester under the weight of our complaints. How many times do we trudge through the sunlight hours wreaking havoc on everyone who has an ear to listen? Have you been able to look back at your trials and see that God brought something so beautiful out of the ashes you THOUGHT were your demise?

complain1Job 7:11 – “Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

When I begin to forget who I am, I need to remember WHOSE I am. When dealing with difficult people and the threat of failure, I need to remember that they are not my problem, I AM MY PROBLEM. For me, that is the first step in taking ownership and responsibility. I haven’t stopped reacting, but I have changed the way I react. I need to remember that God is GOD. Like I’ve heard it said before, “You can’t stand in front of the closet and expect God to dress you.” I have to do my part and move out in faith through the wall of water. I will in turn face crises with confidence rather than with complaining. It’s terrifying but it can be done!

complain2God put people in my life, full of the Holy Spirit, that speak in truth and love to every situation that I could dare find myself in. They help dispel every single lie of the enemy until I have no choice but to believe the truth myself. That’s what God’s helpers do for the Kingdom of Glory. I don’t know where I would be had it not been for the physical, earth bound people He placed in my life to show me the way. If I choose to go back to where I came from and do the things I have always done, then I will get what I have always gotten. Heartache. Pain. If I choose to ASK FOR HELP and do the things that the godly help is telling me to do, I will get godly things. Peace. Love. Hope. It’s up to me to drive myself into my bright future that is free of complaining and “trying” and complaining some more.

Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Turn your worries into prayers! Complaining does nothing but make us and those around us miserable! Start with an attitude of GRATITUDE and watch God move!
