Discouragement chomps away at my motivation and fear paralyzes me, but with God’s help I can overcome this. So many times I have had to do things outside of my own will to follow my Father. So many times I have gone into situations afraid of the outcome because I can’t see clearly the path laid before me. God will accomplish His purpose in spite of me and He will see His promises fulfilled in my life no matter who attempts to block them. I need only be still and watch from the tower for my help for I know where my help comes from.

hard1Ezra 4:4-5 Then the peoples around them set out to discourage the people of Judah and make them afraid to go on building. 5 They bribed officials to work against them and frustrate their plans during the entire reign of Cyrus king of Persia and down to the reign of Darius king of Persia.

hard2So many things come against the plan for my life. Sometimes, I am my own worst enemy. I will continue with the path before me because I know that God will work all things out for my good. I can’t predict how He will get it done, but I trust with all I have that He will succeed. I can only do all that I can do and know that He will do the rest. Nothing is too hard for my God. Opposition is only a means by which our faith is tested.

To further your reading, and to dive a bit deeper, consider this from:

Psalm 121:1-2– I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

We cannot put our faith in other people because humans fail us daily. God is always keeping a watchful eye over our every move!
