I can’t tell you how many times I hear these words, “I am just me. There is nothing special about ME. I don’t have a testimony like YOU. My life is pretty normal. I am not making a difference. What do I have to offer? Does anyone even see me?” These words that I hear come out of the mouths of beautiful people causes my heart to break continuously, for if your purpose had not been fulfilled, you would still be here walking the earth. Everyone has a purpose and plan and your very own destiny is already written in God’s book. He ordained you and called YOU by name. You are HIS! You were CHOSEN! Your life was predestined! So, how could anyone say that their life and their story is not important.
Every single one of us have a different story that matters to SOMEONE. Sometimes we have no idea the implications that are caused by our actions of good.
2 Chronicles 22:10-12 – When Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she proceeded to destroy the whole royal family of the house of Judah. 11 But Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram, took Joash son of Ahaziah and stole him away from among the royal princes who were about to be murdered and put him and his nurse in a bedroom. Because Jehosheba, the daughter of King Jehoram and wife of the priest Jehoiada, was Ahaziah’s sister, she hid the child from Athaliah so she could not kill him.12 He remained hidden with them at the temple of God for six years while Athaliah ruled the land.
Do you think this woman really knew that she was saving the blood line of Jesus when she rescued this innocent child and hid him? Do you realize that times were so bad that she hid him in the temple of God because no one even went there anymore to worship and she knew that he would be safe from the queen? Do you think she knew that that little boy with big brown eyes and a blood stained face that looked upon her was the LAST PERSON in the line of Judah? Do you realize that the small child who knew nothing of the tragedy taking place around him would take his royal position at the ripe old age of 7 and out of him would come the line of Jesus??? Do you realize that he was a promise of God fulfilled? Do you think this WOMAN of no importance knew what she was doing would change ALL OF HUMANITY? WOW!!! I bet she found out when she made it to heaven! Sometimes we have no idea that the actions we take when we are filled with courage to do something outside of what seems comfortable will have a ripple effect on SO MANY to come after us. What are YOU doing?

To further your reading, and to dive a bit deeper, consider this from:
Psalm 139:16 – Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
Do we respect ourselves to not talk about ourselves in such a negative way? If we can’t respect ourselves, then do we respect the Lord who formed us and made us? If we believe that He makes all things beautiful, then why do we consider our own selves garbage and unworthy to be used by Him for His purpose? Thoughts to ponder!
