Have you ever seen “The Incredibles” movie? I absolutely love the part when the mom is flying on the plane to go save her wayward husband. She is on a mission like no other, flying into enemy territory without fear of the unknown. She would have done anything to get to him, even putting herself in danger. She realizes quickly that her children have stowed away on the plane that is taking her into danger and she instantaneously takes massive action and reverts her attention long enough to get them settled for the long journey ahead. Within minutes, out of the corner of her eye, she sees the missles that have been sent to take down her plane. What are we supposed to do when we see the missles of life soar through the sky directly for us, with nothing but an ocean of water beneath, no land in sight? Do we eject? Do we set a new course? Do we try to maneuver past them, diverting them off their intended target? We have only a moment to make a split decision to save not only ourselves, but those who are on our plane. We still need to get to our intended destination too! What about that? What about him?
What I love about you, is you heard the SOS. You heard the call from an unlikely individual in an unlikely place and you listened. And you took massive action. You couldn’t save the plane, but like the mom in The Incredibles, you donned your super suit and protected your children from further harm by shielding them from the explosion. You set them down gently in water and told them how to swim with their own super powers. You then set out on your mission. Here is what is different from the movie. You found YOURSELF and you let Jesus come in and save YOU first. You put the oxygen mask on yourself first and your family second. You did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and you took massive action to change. You said, “Though none go with me, I will still follow.” You set an example for so many others to follow, and you did so with opposition and missles flying on a daily basis.
2 Chronicles 15:7 – But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.
Your battle is just beginning. The missles are going to soar. But you have the power of Jesus in you and no one can take that away from you. For so long you suppressed what was already there, just like they did in The Incredibles. They hid their powers from the world so they could fit in. But once they released themselves to the Truth about who they were and joined forces together, they saved the world from destruction! You are called to be an example for so many others facing the same battles that you will face. Don’t hide the power that lies within you anymore! #JWGirl4Life

To further your reading, and to dive a bit deeper, consider this from:
Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) – So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
We all have a responsibility to present God to the world. As believers, we ARE God’s chosen people. What does your story look like? It may not be one of such dramatic fanfare, but it still should reflect God in everyone you meet.
