neglect1Judges 18:9-10 – They answered, “Come on, let’s attack them! We have seen the land, and it is very good. Aren’t you going to do something? Don’t hesitate to go there and take it over. 10 When you get there, you will find an unsuspecting people and a spacious land that God has put into your hands, a land that lacks nothingwhatever.”

Nothing is ours unless we take it. Don’t neglect your very own inheritance! So many of us go to church, sit in a pew, attempt to make ourselves feel better, to feel accepted, or even to gain friends. Are we there for ourselves, or for the Lord? We keep our mouths shut and refuse to speak our blessings out of fear of tooting our own horns. Yes, humility is good, but so is sharing what God has done for you that could not have been possible by human hands. I love how my Pastor said last week that our words are responsible for our destiny. We manifest things in our own lives by what we speak out of our mouths.

neglect3When one says, “I’m going to be sick. This is going to turn into cancer. My life is over. I will NEVER be who I want to be in life. Everyone hates me. No one loves me”, guess what that person is going to get? Start speaking life and watch things change in a radical way! Aren’t YOU going to do something? It’s time for us to get off our chairs and start speaking what we KNOW to be TRUE…the promises of God Almighty! God is FAITHFUL! “I lost my job and don’t know how I’m going to make ends me…but God is FAITHFUL. My husband is sick and can’t work either…but God is FAITHFUL!! My sister is back on drugs and may lose her kids…but God is FAITHFUL!!” God will never let you go anywhere where He has not already been. So what are you waiting for? The green light says GO. Every word in the Bible is YOUR word. The promises are YOURS for the taking. Human promises are worthless and broken promises leave broken hearts. BUT GOD….

neglect4To further your reading, and to dive a bit deeper, consider this from Luke 15:31 – “‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours.’

This is from the message of the prodigal son but it hits so close to home for me. Everything I have is yours, my child. Your sins are forgiven. You are LOVED and you are ADORED and you are REDEEMED. It all belongs to YOU!
