You are such a joy to be around, so full of life. Underneath the outer, fun-loving shell lies a little broken girl, but you are a survivor! Even at such a young age, you are doing this thing and making a way for countless others to follow in your footsteps.

In school, we always had tests in different subjects. The classroom would be quiet, all minds focused on the task at hand. The teacher would not offer any advice or counsel. We had to rely solely on what we had learned in previous lessons in order to pass. Sometimes we failed miserably because during the lesson, our hearts and minds were elsewhere, set on something far from the chatter coming from the teacher’s mouth during instruction.

alexis5I love how Mandy says it, “When things seem so hard, that means you are growing. We need to recognize our weaknesses.” This is my favorite part! She says, “Until you learn how to glorify God by your attitude, you will not be delivered.” You are doing just that. You are keeping a grateful and cheerful attitude even in the face of opposition.

alexis4What I love about you, Alexis, is that you listen, you learn, and you grow. Do you always pass? No. Do you keep trying? Yes. It’s not how you fall, it’s that you get back up! Never before have I seen someone grow in the program as much as you.

Some of the hardest lessons learned are centered around obedience, submission, stubbornness, and rebellion, but you my friend, are learning! Some days we knock our own selves down and have to pull ourself up off the floor and try all over again. It’s just part of life. God DEMANDS that you give up your own way and be pliable in HIS hands! IT’S NOT ALL ABOUT US!

Here is a command for you:

Alexis32 Timothy 4:12 (NIV) – Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

God is using you, Alexis, regardless of your age and vibrant youthful ways. Continue to live so that others can see Christ in you.

Psalm 119:9 (NIV) – How can a young “wo”man keep “her” way pure? By living according to your Word.

alexis6Your youthfulness is no longer an excuse to stay stuck in the world. Stand up straight and be proud of the woman of God you are becoming!

Deuteronomy 30:11 (NIV) – Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach.

The test hurts, and you were in a test for a long time. But it is now your TESTIMONY!!!
