Genesis 2:7 (AMP) – 7 Then the Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.
We were formed from the mud and the mire. God alone gave us breath and our lives are but a moment in celestial time, yet we still have purpose. We breath air given to us by a Heavenly Father, we eat food from all of creation given to us by the Father, we live in homes created out of material things from the earth given to us by the Father, yet we constantly change. We are always seeking self-satisfaction…and for what?
James 1:17 (NIV) – Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
